Seven Viking Utilizes TESS Hose Management

Commissioned by Eidesvik, TESS performed measurement, verification, assembly, installation of hoses, and THM in connection with the 10-year classification of the vessel Seven Viking, which is owned by Subsea 7 and Eidesvik.

The work was carried out at Ulsteinvik shipyard during a hectic month in January. A total of 11 service personnel from TESS were mobilized for the job, from Bergen, Stavanger, TESS Sør, Scotland, and Denmark.

Seven Viking is an award-winning DNV-classed IMR vessel that is in continuous operation along the Norwegian coast, mainly related to inspection, repair, and maintenance of offshore installations.
Our task was to efficiently carry out hose measurement, assembly, and installation of all the hoses on board. THM implementation was also a central part of the work. The risk-based hose control system optimizes the maintenance of hoses and provides a plan for inspection and replacement – it supports Eidesvik’s focus on health, safety, and the environment, says Rune Sigurdsen, Sales Director THM.

As Norway’s largest player in hoses and hose technology, with the flagship THM, TESS works closely with Norwegian shipping companies. With 130 locations across the country, many of which are coastal, a TESS service center is never far away.
