TESS Denmark\/North Sea Alliance is participating in the prestigious Greensand project in Denmark with the aim of transporting liquid CO2 for permanent storage under the seabed. Our participation in the carbon capture project increases our experience and commitment to sustainability. Here, TESS gains valuable experience that we will benefit from in the future. <\/p>\n\n
The goal of Project Greensand is to help establish a value chain for the transport and geological storage of CO2 offshore in Denmark by the end of 2025. The project is now in the pilot phase, phase 2. The first CO2 to be stored in the North Sea will be transported from Antwerp in Belgium to the Nini platform in the North Sea. Here, CO2 is sent via an existing drilling rig to its final destination in a sandstone reservoir 1,800 meters below the seabed, where it is permanently stored. <\/p>\n\n
Hoses and hose expertise are a central part of the project. TESS supplies transport hoses to carry liquid CO2 in tanks from ships up to the drilling rig, before it is stored on the seabed. <\/p>\n\n
Here, TESS takes total responsibility, supported by our supplier network. TESS is the technical supplier of the hose, and involves product development and design in collaboration with several of our recognized suppliers with steel hose via Trelleborg, outer hose from IVG, DDC and break coupling from MannTek, and floating elements from Polyform. <\/p>\n\n
As always, we utilize our entire network and put together interdisciplinary competence teams, which add value to the product delivery. On this project, we consult with the head of innovation on technical development, and with our expertise in hose production and steel hoses in particular. <\/p>\n\n
By participating in an early-phase project \u2013 or a pilot project like Project Greensand, TESS gains very valuable information that we can use in other projects. The value lies not only in the order, but in the knowledge we gain from participating in the project, both technically and commercially. As an actor with solutions within sustainability, as well as oil and energy, this is central to TESS. <\/p>\n\n
Our participation in Project Greensand gives us a good position in a growing market. It shows that TESS is innovative, forward-leaning and participates in future-oriented projects with a focus on sustainability, which could potentially open up for our participation in carbon capture projects also on the Norwegian shelf. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
