Known Technology in New Applications
TESS's innovation lies in using known technology in new applications. Our extensive experience in oil and gas allows us to confidently select solutions that are tested and suitable for this demanding environment. The concept is being tested for use by Aker BP in the development of the Yggdrasil Hugin A area (formerly NOAKA) in 2027.
In June 2022, TESS, in collaboration with representatives from Aker Solutions and Aker BP, conducted testing of the multi-bundle that enables the transfer of up to 28 different chemicals in one operation at TESS Subsea. Testing of torsional stiffness, bend radius, and bending stiffness was carried out, with convincing results.

At the end of September 2022, the first full-scale test of the docking station and multi-bundle was conducted. The test was performed using a 50-ton excavator holding the docking station 15-20 meters above the ground. The multi-bundle itself was lifted with a mobile crane at the rear of the excavator. Full-scale tests of the docking station and multi-bundle were conducted with good results. The testing shows that the solution works as planned.
