Showcasing a scale model of TESS Remote Loading

TESS Remote Loading was a major attraction at last year’s fair. A 3D-printed model of the entire solution was created, providing detailed insight into the technology, which garnered significant attention.

25.02.2025

For several years, TESS has been working on developing a solution for remotely controlling the simultaneous bunkering of multiple chemicals between supply vessels and oil platforms. The solution enables up to 26 lines within the same multi-bundle and is available in lengths of up to 120 meters, allowing a supply ship to remain at a safe distance—even in rough seas.

In 2025, Remote Chemical Loading will be delivered to Aker BP and installed on Hugin A, which is currently under construction on the west coast of Norway. The planned start-up for the Yggdrasil field is 2027.

At IM-2025, you can see the solution as a scale model displaying the vessel, platform, and crane. Aker BP, Aker Solutions, and TESS are working as "one team" on this development project, and several key experts will be present to share more about the solution at IM-2025. You can meet them at the Energy Corner.
