Collaboration with TESS

TESS Canarias is on its way to establish a cooperation agreement with Trelleborg and will be a supplier of docking and bunkering hoses hoses in Gran Canaria.
TESS was established in Gran Canaria in 2018, and today under the leadership of General Manager Rajiv Kripalani with his team of highly qualified employees. TESS Canarias is located in the port of Las Palmas and from January 2021 will also be ready to serve all incoming ships at their new building inside the port area.
Grand Canaria has a long tradition of trade to areas such as West Africa and South America. The island is a hub between Europe and the rest of the world, and has a strategic location in relation to vessels and rigs on the way in and out of European waters.
In the port of Las Palmas, service and repairs are carried out for preparation and approval for entry into Europe, as well as a lot of maintenance related to local activity.
The local market is large for docking and bunkering hoses. Today, most of the docking hoses is supplied with a built-in flange solution. This is a factory only solution and due to long delivery times, the bunkering companies have bought up at least one year's consumption which is an expensive investment but necessary as Gran Canaria is an Island and it will be critical should hoses be damaged or destroyed with no spare hose. Until now, the standard opens for crimped and clamped solutions and TESS Canarias will offer both these solutions based on standard
EN1765 with strict assembly procedures to supply
customers both local and international high quality bunkering and docking hoses.
First workshop to assemble EN1765 Docking hoses
TESS Canaria's crimps, inspects and pressure tests both hydraulic and industrial hoses, and will be the first hose workshop to offer crimped docking hoses in accordance with standard EN1765.
Trelleborg has been established in Spain since 1999 and has a good customer group in Gran Canaria. From October, TESS will deliver directly to several of Trelleborg's own customers.
The agreement with Trelleborg is expected to be signed during September.
