DNV GL has completed product certification of two transport hoses from TESS for fish stocks.
As the leading hose supplier in the country TESS has a product assortment adapted to any purpose. The certification of the hoses provide safety for the customers and is highly prioritized in the company. Now, TESS has gotten two new transport hoses for fish stocks certified.
DNV GL has completed a thorough quality control for product certification of the hoses Transflex and Fishflex for NS9416.
The regulations for aquaculture defines fish for stocking as roe and fish bred for the purpose of transferring between different areas and other kinds of production. The product certificate shows that the hose is designed and produced according to NS 9416:2013, and that the production is controlled.
-It has been a comprehensive process to get the hoses certified. The tests were thoroughly executed by DNV GL for provide the best hose possible for the customers, says Jan Eric Haagensen, director for the Aquaculture segment at TESS.
Transflex is a flexible and transparent transport-hose with a built-in transparent spiral for maximum flow-control. Transflex is highly durable hose that keeps its shape well, meant for pressure and vacuum.
Fishflex PVC is a sturdy transport hose for a shockproof spiral made from cured OVC. This hose will be the best alternative for conditions where the traditional PVC hose falls short. Fishflex PVC is used for transporting smolt and fish at the farms, well-boats and the slaughterhouses.
DNV GL started their approvals early and has since December 2017 been credited for product certification of tubs, hoses and pipes. TESS has several hoses ready for certification; this will be completed in the near future.
